Easter in North Norfolk: The Best Family Days Out, Trails & Adventures

If you’re visiting or staying in North Norfolk this Easter, we’ve been on our own Easter hunt to find you the very best things to see, do and explore across the area. Whether you’re travelling with grandparents, teenagers or little ones, there’s something here for your whole family, for every age.

From Easter egg trails to steam train adventures or exploring wide open spaces, here are some of the best things to do this Easter time:

Easter Trails and Egg Hunts

Follow magical Easter trails at the National Trust Blickling Estate (21 March – 13 April; 10am - 4pm), exploring daffodil-filled gardens and completing fun family challenges along the way. Complete games and challenges around the garden to help the animals get ready for a special animal tea party. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg.

Head to National Trust Felbrigg Hall (28 March – 12 April) to explore the estate and woodland trail packed with nature-inspired activities, seed planting, den building and lawn games. explore the estate and woodland on a trail with 10 nature-themed activity stations, including seed planting, den building and lawn games. £3.50 per Easter trail pack including a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg. Car parking is free for National Trust members and £5 for non-members.

Explore Sheringham Park (28 March – 12 April; 10am – 3pm), following their Easter trail through an enchanting woodland and wild gardens with hands-on activities - throwing hoops over Easter bunnies carved from tree stumps, wheelbarrow racing, pose for a picture with a pair of giant butterfly wings, and take on the challenge at identifying smells at the sensory station. £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg.

Enjoy an Easter Treasure Quest at Hoveton Hall Gardens (3 – 6 April 2026), solving clues together as a family to earn a treat.

Take part in a local community Easter Egg Hunt at North Walsham War Memorial Park (4 April; 9:30 - noon), collecting stamps and solving puzzles for a goodie bag.

Other Great Easter Activities in North Norfolk

Holkham Hall - The Easter Garden & Spring Market (3rd Mar – 4th Jun)

Enjoy the Easter fun in the beautiful Walled Garden at Holkham Hall. You can meet some cute and fluffy animals, enjoy a marvelous magic show, take part in Easter races, arts and crafts, trails to explore and the very important chocolate treat! The usual ropes course, cycle hire and woodland play area are also open.

Between 3rd - 5th you can also enjoy a seasonal market with special local produce, gifts and crafts, and taste some delicious homemade food and drink to fill up and feast on.

Bure Valley (North Norfolk) Railway(28th March – 12th April)
Hop on board “The Easter Eggspress” to help Morgan the Railway Cat find all his eggs, with a free Easter egg for every child! Enjoy this 11 mile journey between Sheringham and Holt, making sure you stop off to enjoy the boutique shops in Holt and the infamous Byfords for an afternoon tea! Make sure you book in advance to get a 15% discount on fares.

Wroxham Barns - Easter Maker's Market‍ ‍(28th March - 12th April)

Spring has arrived and so has their brand-new adventure play area. Meet newborn lambs and welcome the newest chicks on the farm. You can join in their interactive animal sessions, complete the Easter Trail for a fun prize, and get creative with Easter crafts. There is loads to see, do, and explore, it’s the perfect day out for the whole family!

You can also spend some time in their shopping studios and regular pop-up markets, and on 5th April you can enjoy a special Easter Maker’s Market with unique stalls from local artists and tasty treats.

Sheringham Viking Festival(11 April 2026)

One of the highlights of Easter will be the Sheringham Viking Festival, celebrating the ancient Viking culture and its traditions. Watch the boat burning at Sheringham's seafront and head to Beeston Common (near Beeston Bump) to see the Viking village and re-enactments take place. The festival is attended by thousands of people every year, and it's one of the most popular events in the area!

Museum of the Broads, Stalham(28th March – 12th April)

Take part in this “Spring Trail, Secret Signalsfamily-friendly trail, exploring the museum to discover 12 hidden messages. Have a go at mirror writing and morse code and discover how the birds, the trees and the bees talk to each other. Decipher the message told in nautical flags and claim a prize.

BeWILDerwood (28th March - 19th April)

As well as the usual great outdoor play areas,Bewilderwood’sEaster event invites you into an interactive story to complete The Great Egg Hunt adventure trail, with prizes to be won. Enjoy an interactive stage show and mini disco too!

ROARR! (28 March -13 April).
